EXHIBITIONIST
Exhibitionist was born from a seed sown by a friend who included me in an email intended for local sculptors, which I am not. It was to enter a contest. I discarded it immediately assuming it to be an error, but somehow the seed niggled and began to take root. Before long I had conjured up the idea for a huge sculpture based on my Photo Luminism photographs and entered it into the previously mentioned New Hope Arts Outdoor Sculpture Contest.
To my utter surprise, Exhibitionist was a winner. At first, this was cause for great celebration but it quickly led to dismay as I realized with horror I would now have to materialize my grandiose creation without the slightest idea of where to even start. After months of research, however, I found a fabulous team of collaborators and 4 years later, I couldn’t be happier with the results.
Exhibitionist can be seen next to the road at the Studio Sculpture Garden, 131 N. Main Street (River Road, Rte.32), New Hope PA, across from the Delaware River. It can viewed at any time and will be lit daily from twilight to 10.30 pm. Come and take selfies with New Hope’s latest outdoor sculpture!
