Bucks County Playhouse 75th Anniversary Gala Benefit.
May 3rd is New Hope’s historic Bucks County Playhouse 75th Anniversary Gala Benefit, where many a Hollywood celebrity has trod the boards. The theater has been wonderfully restored by the new owners, Sherri and Kevin Daughterty. They have stopped at nothing to bring back the beauty and glamour of a bygone era and in doing so have guaranteed that the heart of New Hope’s cultural center remains beating strongly for many years to come. We have a huge amount to be grateful to the Daughterys and their Bridge Street foundation for. I was very honored to be invited by Pamm Kerr to donate a picture for the Gala Benefit as it gives me a personal opportunity to say thank you. I thought it fitting to use a picture I captured of one of the Friday Night Lights fireworks exploding high above the theater utilizing my Photo Luminism technique. ‘Paddles’ will be printed as a limited edition onto textured rag paper. I will still be wrapping the photo show in LA when the gala event takes place, but I have no doubt it will raise a substantial sum in appreciation of the Daughterties admirable endeavor to keep New Hope’s theatrical history alive and well.
