A New Photography Gallery Opening in Doylestown!
With so many galleries in this area you might think, “Why yet another gallery?” Well the answer is simple: very few of the existing galleries, as numerous as they may be, exhibit photography. Why? Because photography as an art form went through a bit of a slump in the last few years, but now collectors are beginning to pay attention again. The Bucks County Project Gallery is the brainchild of Stephanie Werner Lisle, the other half of the Graphics on the Wall printing team. Having grown their business and outgrown their space, Stephanie decided to take advantage of the old print shop building to fulfill an old desire. With an emphasis on giving all Bucks County photographers a home to exhibit their work, new exhibitions will be put on monthly, encouraging everyone from talented students and emerging artists to pros, to submit their work and show it off to the public.
The first four photographers to exhibit will be Bucks County ‘lifer’ Jamie Tyksinski, whose uniquely styled vision of Bucks scenery softens the views we know so well; JohnFtheArtist, who combines photography with his extraordinary talent for pen and ink illustrating ‘skateboard’ style; Robyn Graham who like me has recently transitioned from a totally different career to allow her main passion to blossom, and captures those tiny things we so often miss as we dash about our daily chores. Then of course there’s me. I’m really happy to be given the opportunity to exhibit here in Doylestown and especially happy to be able to support Stephanie in her endeavor. Please make an effort to come by and support her too.
